Simple, with atmosphere and plenty of light
Atelier aan Zee is a well insulated studio apartment of about sixty square metres, with its own entrance above De Windroos. It has been kept deliberately simple, but it is roomy and full of character: the best-value house on the property, a favourite with couples and small families, and with anyone who comes to paint, to read or simply to clear their head.
Everything in one light room
Living, cooking and eating share one open room under the roof. The kitchen has a four-zone induction hob, a fridge, a combination oven with microwave and a Nespresso machine next to an ordinary filter coffee pot. From the kitchen window you look out over the farmhouse garden; on the small balcony you drink your coffee outside.
A loft that children fight over
There is a double bed in the sleeping area, and above the room there is a single sleeping loft that is invariably the children’s favourite. An extra sofa bed, a travel cot and a Tripp Trapp complete the picture. The bathroom has a shower and toilet.
Downstairs the garden is waiting
Downstairs the apartment has its own terrace opposite the spiral staircase, and the shared barbecue terrace and the treehouse are for all guests to use. Something special about this place: in the Tuinatelier, the garden studio, painting lessons are available on request. You are welcome to bring your own painting materials, but easels, canvas and oil paint are ready for you. The coastal light does the rest.

Changeover on Saturday: arrival from 3 pm, departure before 10 am. Outside high season shorter stays are possible on request; a late check-out until 6 pm costs €50, if the schedule allows.
